What other people are saying about Keep Moving Forward

Having also run the race in 2018, I very much enjoyed reliving the experience from the perspective of someone with similar goals and running background. In particular Duncan's pre-race state of mind resonated with my own hopes and fears leading up to April 2018. I would recommend this book for anyone who has run the race or for anyone who is thinking about signing up but can't make up his/her mind whether or not to do so. Robert D

I loved this book. I also ran this race in April and the book really placed me back at the start line. So many of the experiences rang true and even reminded me of things I had forgotten.
A must read for anyone considering entering the MdS as well as for friends and family members wanting to get a taste of what’s required to prepare for and to complete the race.

Great honest book. Information within is very useful to people signed up for MDS. Found this book had a great balance between the actually MDS and the writer/runner. I found some of the other books where very much runner focused. I could relate to a lot of the book being a marathon runner and I would definitely recommend it. Bob M

A thrilling account of one man's battle with himself. Written in a style that draws you into this epic adventure, this is a book that details the highs and lows of an excruciating event, the Marathon des Sables.
Whilst motivating as one might expect, it channels the reader into the mindset beyond the race, into our own demons and battles and ultimately proves that the riches lie beyond the obstacles. If ever you want to brush off the cobwebs, do some soul searching and jump off the couch, then read this, it will not let you down.
Lastly, it's bloody funny too! Poo stories, motorbike ambushes and general hilarity from an ultra running nutter. Who could ask for more?

Duncan’s story had me by turns welling up in tears and laughing out loud. A must-read for anyone who is interested in endurance running or simply by tales of human endeavour. By the end you might even be tempted to take on the challenge yourself! (Almost) Fiona W
